If offset is found on the printed labels, it probably indicates an operation mistake, please see the four situations below and their possible causes and solutions.
I.Vertical Offset with No Regularity
1.Media is not calibrated.
Make sure the media sensor is clean and correctly positioned, and perform “Media Calibration”. Try same steps on labels in different dimensions if problem remains.
The media sensor should be broken if all types of media failed.
2.Wrong Media Type Selection
For any types of media, correct media type must be chose in printer driver, or alignment problems may occur.
To change the media type selection, please click the “print” button → “Document Properties”→ “Stock”→“Media Type” as showed in picture below.
II.Vertical Offset with Regularity
1.Incorrect Page Setup.
In BarTender, if a larger page appears in “Print Preview” as showed in picture below, then the page may be mistakenly set or failed to take effect.

2.Special Media Used
For special media whose gap position is not the same as where label printing area begins, offset Settings is needed in the printer driver/software. There are two methods to set:
(1)Adjust the value of horizontal offset or vertical offset in the Seagull Driver.
In Bartender, please click the “print” button → “Document Properties”→ “Advanced Options”→ “Printing Position” → “Position Adjustment” .
(2)Adjust the value of horizontal offset or vertical offset through POSTEK Utility (available in the printer CD-ROM and “Download Center” of Postek website).
III.Gradual Horizontal Offset
1.Media installation error.
The location of the media is not fixed. Please slide the two media guides close to the media and keep the media smooth at the same time.
2.Platen Roller Worn Out.
If the platen roller becomes unparallel to the printhead, the media could be deviated from the correct course.
IV.Fixed Horizontal Offset
Please check the page setup in the label software, make sure it is set in accordance with the actual media size.
